Pouches are shorter, have a bowl shape, and can be reused. Perfect for backpackers wanting to store dried meals and rehydrate on the trail. These bags are clear plastic (aluminum-free). Pouches were redesigned in 2022 for greater flexibility, improved sealing, and rounded corners to eliminate sharp edges. Not recommended for microwave use (trapped steam can exceed safety temperature and zipper can soften and warp). Not recyclable in most municipalities due to the multi-layer plastic films. Cleaning Instructions Hand-wash: Use non-abrasive cleaning agents (soft sponge and hot soapy water) to clean. Air dry by propping the bag open. Dishwasher: Prop open the bag, place it on the top shelf, and dry it with the air-dry setting. Keep bags clear of water jets to prevent bags from moving around and closing.Ensure the bags have no moisture before storing them; otherwise, they will host mold/bacteria and become unsafe for food reuse. How the bag is handled and used will impact the number of times it can be reused. Discard the bag if the plastic begins to break down, which you can see if the inner layer begins to separate, tear, or de-laminate.
