Espresso Coffee maker La conica Designed between 1980 and 1983, this coffee maker was created as an evolution of the project Tea&Coffee Piazza, which has seen great architects involved in the design of a coffee and tea set. It is Rossi's first project for the big series, and with its strongly iconic image it immediately becomes the leading product of the newborn brand Officina Alessi, as well as a design symbol of the '80s. Aldo Rossi Born in Milano (1931-1997), he is considered by many to be the greatest Italian architect of the second half of the twentieth century. He began his history as an architect working with Gardella and Zanuso. A playwright of abstraction, reduction and brevitas, with his rigorous language of primary forms, geometries and evocative shapes he has been able to create some of the most intensely poetic works of architecture and design of his time. The mission of Alessi Founded in 1921 as Workshop for the processing of brass and nickel silver plate with foundry, Alessi has always been recognized for the high quality of its products. In almost a century of history it has gradually evolved becoming a leading exponent of the Italian Design Factories, capable of applying the skills and excellence achieved in design management to very different types of products. Open to international change and development, the company is at the same time deeply rooted in tradition and in the cultural background of its territory: Alessi continues to be synonymous with handicrafts made with the help of machines.
